Description
If I had enough time I could sit down and write the book Daring Do and the Griffon's Goblet. I have an idea of every character I would use, locations they would go to, fight scenes and plot twists. Everything.
This is just one of those scenes.
Further into Daring Do's adventure she stops in an isolated desert town to gather information on the whereabouts of the griffons goblet. She unexpectedly meets a griffon who is trying to persuade her to stop looking for the goblet. He says the ponies who are also looking for it are dangerous and will kill her if she gets in their way. The conversation goes something like "Do you know who I am?" and "I can take care of myself." The griffon starts to get on her nerves when he says she couldn't even get past him, and eventually they start fighting. In the end, Daring gets her flank kicked but she says she'll keep looking for the griffons goblet no matter what. And because the griffon doesn't want to see her get killed he joins her on her quest to find the goblet.

This is cool. I found this when I was searching up a bit on Griffons and their origins.
A little tidbit, I found out from one reference that the Griffon's in MLP:FIM were based on Germanic culture.
One of the reasons I like this picture is because it depicts at least a community of Griffons in a desert-like environment (something I feel the homeland of the Griffons would have within their borders).
I am having some trouble figuring out what a tribe of Griffons from Germanic origins would be like in a arid climate.
I would be pleased to hear what your thoughts on them are. Beyond that, this story sounds interesting. I may have to take a look.
